Our EHV Projects Division are a specialist EHV cabling contractor delivering bespoke EHV cable system solutions to valued clients across the UK and Ireland.
We aim to be the first choice EHV cable system design and build specialist contractor for our client base offering tailored, optimised cable system design and installation solutions alongside a safe, customer-centric, flexible and collaborative approach to delivery.
We design, supply, install, test and commission private grid connections and substation cabling projects across the UK.
Whether it’s a BESS, Solar, Synchronous Condenser or Grid connection, we offer our clients a comprehensive service from design or installation, right up to a one-stop, trouble free, turnkey service for their projects.
The EHV Projects Division have a long standing reputation for delivering technically and logistically challenging EHV cabling projects safely, on-time and to a high quality.
We have been Lloyd’s Register National Electricity Registration Scheme (NER’s) accredited to 132kV since 2005 and are experts in the design and installation of cable systems from 11kV up to 400kV.
Collectively our management team have experience of working on projects for most of the UK Transmission Network Operators (TNO’s), Distribution Network Operators (DNO’s), Private Networks and switchgear or cable manufacturers, on both onshore and offshore platform projects.
We can support developers or renewable energy providers with assessing project viability by assisting with cable system design, route feasibility, project costing and project planning. Our in house Design and Engineering department, including CAD Technicians, are able to support projects throughout their life cycle, meanwhile our project delivery teams use their considerable experience to ensure a hassle free experience for our clients.
The wider business has been operating since 1966 in the water, gas, electricity and multi-utility markets ensuring we have access to in-house expertise associated with all the utilities likely to be encountered along a cable route and a dedicated Section 50 department for highway works.

Complex EHV Projects, Delivered with Precision
PN Daly Ltd are proud to be supporting Siemens Energy on the Inchcape Offshore Wind Project currently under construction in dry dock.
Our scope includes the installation and termination of 66kV and 220kV cable systems on the offshore platform, a critical stage in delivering long-term, reliable power infrastructure.
This project highlights our capability in delivering complex Extra High Voltage (EHV) works in challenging environments, with a focus on safety, quality, and technical excellence.
